::1-21-2005 :: What a kick this is. The roof is also 300 stitches and bound off in black i-cord. I am thinking I can hook the roof by its topknot to the top of Shadow's cubby and create a circle of willow to hold the edge wide. Now I am going to print up some appropriate sized graph paper and imagine some wall patterns.

:: 1-12-2005 :: from organic to flat. 300 stitches, 22 inch diameter. Missed the photo of Shadow sitting on the edge of it, sniffing the wet steamed wool. Seeing the width made me realise for the first time that this wasn't just going to stand up on its own, so now I am thinking 'tent' instead of igloo and am still happy to continue. The roof is next, which will be just like the floor only done in 5 sections instead of 6 to make it rounded instead of flat

:: 1-10-2005 :: thinking I was close to full size(252 stitches), I slipped the floor partially onto a 2nd needle to find that I still have a good ways to go. Seeing the big space of just stripes makes me want to do some variation on the walls. fun to come : )

::1-06-05 :: beginning with circular floor, using stranded pattern figured out for hats. It is my intention to create a free pattern for this igloo, I will try to keep it written up on pattern page as I go and make a .pdf when done and Shadow approved.

:: 12-31-04 :: Because Shadow likes to prowl in the night we make her sleep in the garage, and her fur is quite chilly in the morning when we let her back in. I've been thinking about knitting her an igloo, it would just be a very large hat with a floor. I think I should start this one soon, wish I had thought of it before it got cold. Want to use gold (like her eyes) and black(as her fur)...When the 2nd treasury of magical knitting comes out I intend to make the catbed from there as well.
