~~~end of May~~~
May 31 :: here is the whole picture of the purpleheart wood step/window...and a glimpse at the rainbow cotton that came in the post. here is a closer view of the cotton, now I am going to find out if it is at all knit-able. See you in June!
May 28 :: Grafton spindle was the first anticipated mail to arrive. This is a Nina made of purpleheart wood, chosen for the matching wooden step in our home. And as I am sure that the ability to spin fiber is part of our human DNA coding, you can see that I have already clumsily made a bit of yarn, using Grafton's instruction page and the park and draft videos from I Can Spin.com. My local knitting hero is planning to teach me some, and then there is a class I am signed up for during Black Sheep Gathering. What I know already is that spinning is very good for one's soul.
Pretty green fiber is also a Grafton product and they made for me 2 circular needles with 60 inch long cords for moebius knitting.
I want to add a photo of the larger view of the step, for the woodwork goes up to surround a small window facing into the courtyard. Didn't quite come out this time around.
May 26 :: Postal events coming my way :: more Alchemy bamboo :: rainbow colored cottons :: Grafton spindle, fiber and needles :: yes, I have happily slipped off my yarn diet this past month and don't plan on reclaiming diet statis for a few months, for we are going to Blacksheep Gathering in June and family reunions in July that will put us in Lansing, Mi where I will be able to set my happy feet inside of Threadbear Fiberarts Studio!! Will just have to resign myself to adding a few more pages onto precious yarnarama site.
Shadow climbed into my lap while Karlie was helping me photograph nearly done ruffles.
