hello

July 24 :: Michigan Show&Tell

a visiting pixie and I thrilled at the early arrival of Threadbear goods. This Misti Alpaca is meant to be baby hats for some new-ones in the family.

here is THE lovely Alchemy Lickity Split, in Dragon(above) and Forest Waltz , enough for a thick cuddly vest, tho I've also daydreamed about making moebius scarf from this weight of fiber.

added to Pastaza collection, still daydreaming of argyle vest

colorme fiber

Color Me Wool Top in "Fiery" was the only to-spin purchase

2 from Great Adirondack above silk delight, below homespun wool (70/30 wool/silk mix)

and this is not the end of the goods, but all I have patience to show&tell today. This was a new company to me, Jade Sapphire, and in my favorite in all the world fiber, silk.

I do have knitting to show and tell as well. soon, a new page.

a fun Mare moment at the reunion, family winding yarn for a baby blanket, to be knit by Karl's mom, who also knit a blanket for the dad of baby-to-be.

July 19 :: Threadbear Hug

follow Tate into the depths of fiber

with a big smile! I have pictures but am just remembering that a year of excellent photos from Matt&Rob's pages did not prepare me for the abundance of color&kindness Threadbear is. This first photo is the Cascade 220 wall, one of the things I was looking forward to, knowing there would be more color choices there than I have ever had at one time before.

and here are 2 handpainted views. sorry I don't know company names till my box arrives, one (I think the lower)is Great Adirondack

:: July 19 continued ::
