April 27 :: .Ben has found just the right friend to play duck with : )

Finished my map panel last night. I intend to sew these 2 together before another photo. In the end there is meant to be a crocheted edge around the blanket, I'm having a bit of trouble believing that will keep the edges from rolling under.

p.s. There are now 2 more pages to the April photo gallery of my little bit of the world

April 22 :: finally had a mapping day. You can't see them, but the very first stitches of Alaska happened before bed. I don't have the nerve to show it close-up...but here also is the backside. Next week I hope to be starting on panel #3. Africa, here I come

April 19 :: .Here are Benjamin's duck feet. I tried in vain to get Shadow to model them. Sometimes she has no sense of humor.

I have not had my fair share of knitting time this past little while; hoping to sit back down with map before the day is done.

April 15 :: Llamas dressed up for my knitting arrival in Peru : ) now, I am working my way up through Central America. Karl recomends the book " The Path between the Seas" by David McCullough. It is a history of the Panama Canal.

April14 :: compass and lower points of panel 1 :: next comes 30 rows of the beautiful ocean until I reach Peru. If I were a traveler, I would want to meet this place where such beautiful yarn comes from.

Favorite news of the week is that Benjamin has taken up laughing. Complete heart melter xo

April12 :: Panel 2 posing :: I meant to take a bit of a break and finish the organic cotton Astrid, which has only 3/4 of one sleeve and a collar to go, instead, I twirled around once and started the points for panel one. There's a compass on the bottom third.
