I am hoping Benjamin's ears end up under the earflapping part,
that his eyes are below the front ridge, that the tie ends are
deliciously suckable. Off to Ben this goes...usually get a modelling
photo back in short time.
This was my first project with an Alchemy
yarn, won't be my last, I enjoyed it very much.
I like 1 x 1 stranding, it has a nice rhythm. Might try that
in the upcoming slipper experiments. Karl is wearing new waterspun
weekend slippers this morning. Will write of that soon xo

xoxo love that grandbaby xoxo
His is the sweet head the silk
hat is meant for. The Daddy & Papa would be fun to knit
for as well. As are the birth parents (see those bare feet to
the right?)
During this week I finished up my first moebius...
... am sending it to Meadow because of it's blue color, along
with some extra yarn with which she can add decor' to the edges.
One moebius fact is that if you simply knit the whole thing,
from the lengthwise middle, one half would show knit stitches
and the other purls, which is why the pattern had me knit a number
of rounds, then purl the same number. My head is spinning over
all the good stitch patterns that look the same on both sides,
seed stitch, basket weave... and so I have already begun moebius
#2 . This time from silky wool. A good design element for me
and my windy environment is that I can figure eight this and
wrap it over my head.
I have also finished waterspun-weekend vest. Diagonal rib
stretches to fit nicely. Quick and easy knit.
Here is sister-in-law blanket, modeling it's wooly self over
the sofa back, just past halfway now, it warms my lap when I
am working on it.
And I knit and unknit waterspun weekend slipper attempts,
I think I may be headed in right direction now. I hope so, there
are a lot of feet to cover xo
