1. total amount of music on my computer ::

wee 3 Jane Siberry songs, but I can't find the file to let you know how big that is, but I have family that have lots and lots, so there

2. cd last bought

so long ago I have forgotten, think it was an Elvis Costello, who is aging as gracefully as I hope to, dear husband's was "Jacaras! 18th Century Spanish Baroquer Guitar Music "

3 . last song listened to before reading this message

Holly Cole singing theme from Bagdad Cafe, "calling you"

4. five significant songs, oh dear, mostly now I listen only to the ocean.

#one would be an early Jane Siberry 1980 song but unable to pick just one. Karl and I met on the mailing list of this Canadian songwriter.

#two is Holly Cole's "I want you" from Temptation(1995) (cd of Tom Waits Covers) song K&I loved while courting

#three, Leonard Cohen...The Future...because it is also related to K's&my courtship, but no particular song

#four are all the songs from the movie "Brother Sun Sister Moon" written by Donovan, with messages I try to live by such as "do few things but do them well"

#five, before all this were the songs by Joni Mitchell, again so many of the early works before she turned jazzy...the song BLUE stands out at the moment. She just sang my youthful soul.

5. tagging elka to see what a working knitter listens to.

Feb 3 :: Karl and I sign up for a knitting event

One of the most fun knitting projects from last year was learning Cat Bordhi's magical moebius method, a way of casting on and knitting moebius-ly. Now she is having a weekend knitting camp in the beautiful Oregon Coast Range April 1-3 , which I have signed up for and been allowed to bring along Karl to enjoy the place and admire all the knitting that happens there. Take a moment to download the registration form because it is full of pictures of Cat's knitting. This is a big deal for Karl&me, we are the most natural hermits on earth, so adventuring anywhere beyond our bit of beach requires much courage and abandon.

yesterday's successful adventures included finding this wonderful squash colored steel chair that is comfy at least for 2 hours straight so far. Shadow was forced to pose, she has not had a natural inclination to check out the new chair yet.
