woof woof :: Feb 2

his resemblence to Ike from story is not very clear but he is dog-like and sweet to my eyes. one thing I cannot remember is, do one year olds have puppeting skill? kept my left brain totally out of this project, tho I did get a starting point from this pattern (thankyou natalie) Here, too, is beginning of wee Ben's spring sweater, done in nature cotton (remember bathrobe?) fast easy knit (US #10).

..off on a long day of errands, if I get lucky I may come home with a comfy office chair, so I can spend more time playing around in...

spring fever :: Jan 31

a tad early. Oregon has days in February usually that feel and smell exactly like spring. We have had a few of them in January. March gets cold and wintry (in Oregon terms that means 40's) again, but for now I can believe in spring.

the finished silk garden hat. unchecked by anyone but me pattern is here. over the weekend I finished a different one using my favorite silk garden gauge of 4 1/2 stitches per inch (for me that is US #7 needles), wound enough cotton yarn to knit Benjamin a spring sweater, worked a bit on cashmere socks...but didn't steam Jean's blanket, or come up with igloo wall or puppy puppet designs.

I did spend goo-gobs of time playing with the software that makes these pages. I am starting to think working in black,gray and white might be best and leave all my color imagination to the yarn world.
